1. はじめに

本プライバシーポリシーは、Chrome拡張機能「値下がりウォッチ」（英語名：Price Pal、以下「本拡張機能」）における利用者データの取り扱いについて説明するものです。

本拡張機能は、利用者が指定したウェブページ上の価格を定期的にチェックし、変化があった場合に通知する、という単一の目的で提供されています。

2. 取り扱うデータ

本拡張機能は、機能の実現に必要な以下のデータを取り扱います。

• 利用者が監視対象として登録したページのURL

• 登録ページから読み取った商品名と価格

• 価格の位置を特定するためのCSSセレクタ

• 価格チェックの履歴（日時・取得結果、対象ごとに最大50件）

• 利用者が選択した設定（チェック間隔、ウォッチ期間、通知の有無、表示言語）

これらは利用者が明示的に登録した対象についてのみ記録されます。閲覧履歴の追跡、個人を特定できる情報（氏名、メールアドレス等）の取得は一切行いません。

3. データの保存場所と保持期間

上記のデータは、すべて利用者のブラウザ内のローカルストレージ（chrome.storage.local）にのみ保存されます。

• 監視対象を削除すると、その対象に関するデータは直ちに削除されます

• 本拡張機能をアンインストールすると、すべてのデータが削除されます

• 開発者を含む第三者が、これらのデータにアクセスすることはできません

4. データの外部送信・第三者提供

本拡張機能は、いかなるデータも外部に送信しません。

• 開発者のサーバーは存在せず、データの収集を行いません

• アクセス解析ツール、広告、トラッキングは使用していません

• 利用者データの販売・貸与・共有は一切行いません

• アカウント登録は不要です

5. 権限の利用目的

本拡張機能がブラウザに要求する権限と、その利用目的は以下のとおりです。

• storage：監視対象リスト・履歴・設定をブラウザ内に保存するため

• alarms：設定した間隔で価格チェックを定期実行するため

• notifications：価格の変化や取得エラーをデスクトップ通知で知らせるため

• scripting：登録ページから価格を読み取るスクリプトを実行するため

• tabs：定期チェック時に登録ページをバックグラウンドタブで開き、取得後に閉じるため

• activeTab：利用者がボタンを押した時に表示中のページを解析するため

• ホスト権限（すべてのサイト）：利用者が任意のサイトの商品ページを登録できるようにするため。実際にアクセスするのは、利用者が登録したページと、利用者がボタンを押した時点のページのみです

6. ウェブサイトへのアクセスについて

定期チェックは利用者自身のブラウザセッション内で行われます。ログインが必要なページの価格チェックも、利用者のブラウザに保存されたログイン状態を利用して行われるものであり、ログイン情報そのものを本拡張機能が読み取る・保存することはありません。

7. 本ポリシーの変更

本ポリシーの内容は、機能の追加・変更に応じて改定されることがあります。重要な変更がある場合は、本ページおよびChromeウェブストアの掲載情報にて告知します。

Price Pal Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how the Chrome extension "Price Pal" (Japanese name: 値下がりウォッチ, the "Extension") handles user data.

The Extension serves a single purpose: it periodically checks prices on web pages chosen by the user and notifies the user when a price changes.

2. Data We Handle

The Extension handles only the data necessary for its functionality:

• URLs of the pages the user has registered for monitoring

• Product names and prices read from those pages

• CSS selectors used to locate the price on each page

• Price-check history (date/time and result, up to 50 entries per item)

• User preferences (check interval, watch duration, notification settings, display language)

This data is recorded only for items the user has explicitly registered. The Extension does not track browsing history and does not access personally identifiable information such as names or email addresses.

3. Where Data Is Stored and How Long It Is Kept

All data listed above is stored exclusively in the user's browser local storage (chrome.storage.local).

• Deleting a monitored item immediately removes its data

• Uninstalling the Extension removes all data

• No third party, including the developer, can access this data

4. Data Transmission and Third-Party Sharing

The Extension transmits no data whatsoever.

• There is no developer server, and no data collection takes place

• No analytics tools, advertising, or tracking are used

• User data is never sold, rented, or shared

• No account registration is required

5. How Permissions Are Used

The Extension requests the following browser permissions, for these purposes only:

• storage: to save the watch list, history, and settings in the browser

• alarms: to run price checks at the interval chosen by the user

• notifications: to alert the user of price changes and fetch errors

• scripting: to run the script that reads the price from a registered page

• tabs: to open a registered page in an inactive background tab during a scheduled check and close it afterwards

• activeTab: to analyze the page the user is viewing when they click a button

• Host permission (all sites): to let the user register product pages on any site of their choice. The Extension only accesses pages the user has registered and the page open when the user clicks a button

6. About Website Access

Scheduled checks run inside the user's own browser session. Checking prices on pages that require a login relies on the login state already stored in the user's browser; the Extension never reads or stores the login credentials themselves.

7. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as features are added or changed. Material changes will be announced on this page and in the Chrome Web Store listing.
